Owens Corning, which makes materials for commercial and residential building, cut its earnings forecast for the year. The Toledo-based company cited weakness in its roofing and composite businesses for the adjustment. It expects that earnings before interest and taxes in 2012 will be no more than $310 million. In August, it forecast at least $360 million.
