Carbonite Inc. a Boston provider of online backup services for consumers and for small businesses, said Thursday it has agreed to buy Zmanda Inc. of California for $15 million. The acquisition will enhance Carbonite’s small and midsize business offerings with the ability to backup databases and file systems to the cloud, and will enable companies to get all the backup solutions they need from one vendor, Carbonite said.
