Dow down 205 as weak earnings drag market lower

Poor corporate earnings reports pounded markets as the week ended on a sour note. Disappointing results from three Dow giants — Microsoft, GE, and McDonald’s — were to blame. The disappointing earnings and a report showing a drop in home sales last month also depressed energy prices. Benchmark crude lost $2.05 to $90.05 per barrel.
