The St. Louis-based bakery-cafe climbed on news that third-quarter net income rose to $1.24 per share, compared to 97 cents last year. Analysts estimated $1.19. Panera raised its fourth-quarter forecast to between $1.72 and $1.74, from prior estimates of $1.66 to $1.70. Panera also lifted its full-year prediction. Ronald Shaich, founder and co-CEO, called the period “superb.”
