Bedford’s iRobot Corp. fell after the company said it expected to lose money in its fourth quarter and was cutting 80 jobs. Of the jobs lost, most are in Bedford and many are the result of iRobot’s decision to close an office in North Carolina that worked on the company’s Seaglider, an underwater robot used by oceanographers and the Navy. The company, which makes the Roomba vacuum cleaner, said it expects to have a total of 510 jobs after the restructuring is completed.
