With Sandy closing US stock market for two consecutive days, a number of public companies delayed or cut short their scheduled release of quarterly earnings this week.

Brightcove Inc. pushed back its earnings release to Thursday, from Tuesday. Liberty Mutua cancelled its quarterly financial conference call initially scheduled for Tuesday, while Vertex Pharmaceuticals Inc. of Cambridge rescheduled its quarterly update from Monday to Thursday.
