Massport to give parking refunds for passengers delayed by Sandy, but it’s complicated

Stranded airline passengers whose cars were stuck at Logan International Airport parking lots in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy can request a partial parking rebate from the Massachusetts Port Authority.

Massport, which runs Logan, will refund fees for the period of time beyond passengers’ originally scheduled return dates.

To qualify for the rebate -- which applies to all the airport’s parking facilities, including Logan Express lots -- drivers must pay the full amount when exiting and then request a refund at After the request is received, passengers will be directed to mail in a copy of their original and rescheduled airline ticket or itinerary, as well as a copy of their parking receipt or proof of payment, by Nov. 30.
