DreamWorks Animation SKG Inc., the studio that produces the “Madagascar” film series, rose after third-quarter sales and profit beat analysts’ estimates. Net income rose 24 percent to $24.4 million, or 29 cents, from $19.7 million, or 23 cents, a year earlier, the California company said. Analysts projected an average 11 cents. Sales rose 16 percent to $186.3 million, exceeding projections.
