The election’s effect on Massachusetts business sectors

Massachusetts defense contractors brace for big cuts, makers of medical devices face new fees, and the financial industry has to live with tougher regulations. Add to this uncertainty about taxes and federal spending as a reelected President Obama does battle with Congress over the deficit.

One thing the election made clear: Boston’s large financial industry should not expect a reprieve from tougher rules, dashing hopes that a new president and Congress would rewrite the Dodd-Frank law or eliminate the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

Really?  Really?  Really?   Have you been drinking the republican kool-aid.  I work in Mmanufacturing and I have seen a steady increase in activity the last 3 years. The economy is much better than it was when Obama took office. Defense spending actuallly increased by 10% under Obama. Just returned from an ARMY SHOW IN dc and the new inovations by US Army suppliers will insure our solldiers of the highest level of technology to protect themselves and our country. Get your head out of the sand. The defense industry will continue to thrive here in Massachusetts. Stop all this soom and gloom crap because your guy lost
