Alere Inc. reported quarterly earnings of 43 cents per share, missing analysts’ estimates, on revenue of $691.4 million, SBWire reported online. Revenue was up 18 percent compared with the same quarter last year. The Waltham company describes itself as “a global leader in enabling individuals to take charge of their health at home through the merger of rapid diagnostics and health management.”
