Markets finished one of their worst weeks of the year Friday, pushing Washington to work out a deal to avoid the tax increases and government spending cuts set to take effect Jan. 1. European stocks also fell on fiscal cliff concerns. Among stocks, Walt Disney fell after it said that advertising sales were flat at its ESPN unit, and Groupon slumped after it said it was hurt by the economic problems in Europe and growth failed to meet expectations.
