Nearly four years after a Walmart worker was trampled to death by a stampede of Black Friday shoppers, Walmart continues to fight a $7,000 fine by the US Occupational Safety and Health Administration that it failed to control the crowd of shoppers. Walmart has spent millions contesting the fine and a 2011 ruling by an independent administrative judge’s 2011 to uphold the penalty. The appeal is pending.
