Nokia Lumia 920 smartphone, by Nokia Corp.
$99.99 with two-year service contract from AT&T
I'm surprised you described the Lumia's screen as "slightly less sharp" than the iPhone 5's: despite the larger screen the Lumia 920 has a ppi of 332 compared to the iPhone 5's 326, which makes it just a touch sharper in terms of pixels per inch. I've seen both side-by-side and the difference isn't noticeable to me. So far I'm very happy with mine. (And after a couple updates they put out battery life has gone from ok to superb, which is always welcome!)
What are those updates, karma? I'm still getting so-so battery life. But agree about the display - it's superb. And people rave about the photos.
