Some Bank of America Mass. customers paying more

Bank of America customers in Massachusetts appear to be stuck paying some of the highest fees in the country for the indefinite future.

For instance, the banking giant charges customers $12 per month for its eBanking account in Massachusetts if they use a teller or receive paper statements. In almost every other state where the bank operates, customers pay around $9.

I divorced BoA a while ago. BoA is on the top 10 list of the worst tax-avoiding corporations, who take advantage our our public infrastructure, educated and trained workers, and security without paying their fair share. Or sometimes without paying anything at all. BoA accepted taxpayer bailouts, engages in fraudclosures, and helped tank our economy. Bank locally: credit unions and small regional banks are better community members and will give you great service without gouging.

i will never understand why people insist on having fee-laden accounts at big banks. what the heck is the advantage of doing biz w them? and what major disadvantages could there be w banking at a local bank? McBride has it right: vote w your feet!

USAA.  Best bank in the country.  MY bank PAYS ME to do business with them.

No fees.  At all.  Ever.  Interest bearing checking account.  Debit card cash rebates ... and they rebate ATM fees charged at other ATM's each month, so that $3.00 charge to use a Bank of America ATM is credited back to me by USAA.

Poor suckers who use Bank of America, Chase, Citibank, etc...
