I heard about the guesstimate of 300,000 Spanish babies called dead and then abducted by Nuns and SOLD to others in the name of what's best for the child. Reminds me of two things: 1) Mass has similar utterances of the "best interests of the child" as they take parents kids away (in Spain the mothers were often poor, I understand, and 2) Where is the Globe coverage of this? I Google'd it and it's all over. But I don't remember the Globe every covering it (nor the Wall Street Journal, for that matter). My best guess at the moment is that is the Globe covering for the Catholic church. No, then let's see some articles about it. In understand that it went on in Spain until the LATE 80's and made up perhaps 15% of ALL ADOPTIONS IN THE COUNTRY!
