Boston Beer higher on frothy outlook

Boston Beer Co. continued to climb after it raised its full-year earnings target, an increase the Samuel Adams brewer attributed to stronger shipments. The company now expects full-year earnings of between $4.30 and $4.60, up from a prior target of up to $4.20. The brewer said the rosier earnings estimate could also be attributed to the timing of administrative and other expenses. Boston Beer recently beefed up its sales force and is spending more on ads and local marketing.
