Rectrix Commercial Aviation Services acquires AirFlyte Inc.

Rectrix Commercial Aviation Services, the Bedford-based parent company of the fixed-based operator at Worcester Regional Airport, has acquired AirFlyte Inc. of Westfield, Rectrix announced Tuesday.

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

AirFlyte maintains corporate jets at Barnes Regional Airport, and also provides interior restorations, concierge services, and business suites.

Rectrix Aviation, a private jet charter company based at Hanscom Field, is a division of Rectrix Commercial Aviation Services. Rectrix invested $5 million to develop office space and hangars that can accommodate large corporate jets at Worcester Airport, where in November it began providing services such as parking, fueling, and maintenance to general aviation aircraft.

Rectrix is investing $15 million at Hanscom and is launching fixed-based operations there this year.
