Japan Airlines will resume daily service out of Boston on Friday on a Boeing 777, with departure times delayed by about six hours on certain days.

The aircraft that normally serve the Boston-Tokyo route were part of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet grounded Wednesday by the Federal Aviation Administration after several battery fires, including one on the ground at Logan International Airport.
