Recent highlights from Boston’s enterprise technology sector:
March 2012: Demandware, a Burlington company that helps customers operate e-commerce sites, goes public; shares have climbed more than 30 percent.
April 2012: Carbonite cofounder Jeff Flowers leaves for a new start-up, SageCloud. It is designing storage systems to reduce
the cost of data that can be kept in what Flowers calls
“cold storage.”
June 2012: Exa Corp. goes public. The Burlington firm makes simulation software that helps vehicle designers understand how their vehicles will perform in the real world.
November 2012: Acton start-up Affirmed Networks says its
technology to make wireless networks more efficient is being tested by a dozen carriers. It has raised more than $50 million.

January 2013: Twitter buys Crashlytics, a Cambridge start-up that builds tools to help developers of mobile apps find and fix bugs.
January 2013: Former Battery Ventures investor Sunil Dhaliwal announces a new venture capital firm, Amplify Partners, focused exclusively on enterprise technologies.
