Harvard College is permanently closing The Inn at Harvard in Cambridge in July, a move that will result in significant layoffs, according to a letter filed with the Massachusetts Division of Career Services.

Collegiate Hospitality LLC, which manages the inn, sent the letter in early January in accordance with the federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act of 1988.
