Poland in talks on switch to euro

WARSAW — Polish lawmakers have started a debate to decide when the country should adopt the euro, the currency used by 17 European Union nations.

An EU member since 2004, Poland is still to name the date when it intends to adopt the euro. Officials say Poland should meet all financial requirements in 2015, but will wait for a moment best suited to its interests.
