Pegasystems Inc. rose after the Cambridge process-management software company reported quarterly earnings and revenue that were better than expected and gave a 2013 outlook that was above projections. Pegasystems swung to a profit as it won “new name customers in the public sector as well as two of the world’s top five global insurance companies,” CEO Alan Trefler said. Revenue rose 25 percent; net income was $20.4 million, versus a net loss of $1.9 million a year earlier.
