Avid Technology postponed its earnings announcement while it evaluates its ­accounting. The Burlington-based company, which makes equipment for editing music and video, had been scheduled to release fourth-quarter results Tuesday and hold a conference call for investors. It was unable to estimate when the evaluation will be finished. Avid is looking at “its current and historical accounting treatment related to bug fixes, upgrades, and enhancements to certain products.”
