Job market accelerates as unemployment rate hits 4-year low

WASHINGTON (AP) — The American job market isn’t just growing. It’s accelerating.

Employers added 236,000 jobs in February and drove down the unemployment rate to 7.7 percent, its lowest level in more than four years. The gains signal that companies are confident enough in the economy to intensify hiring even in the face of tax increases and government spending cuts.

Must be Obama's fault!  Sorry...had to snark that in before the tinfoil hat crazies went nuts!  Cheers!

Isn't it time for Jack Welch to cry foul again?  All these good news reports while Obama is in office must be excruciatingly painful for the likes of Welch.  It's amazing when the well-off complain about good news for the rest of us.  How can anyone be a Republican these days?

Jack Welch and his four ex-wives.  What a guy.

As I said yesterday, if news is good, news media and Obama take credit.

If news is bad, it's somebody else's fault.

Nothing like covering all the bases.

So ... the Sequester isn't the end of the world ?     ;-)

The Sequester point is well taken Western Dad, but the effects will be felt mostly by people who are unemployed or poor or elderly.  Most folks will indeed be unaffected, but just because some folks are invisible does not mean they are not there.

Where are all the right wing nuts to complain about the economy slowly turning around? Oh, right..that is not good for their cause. But, I'm sure they'll find some way to bash Obama over the good news. As stated above: some of the very wealthy feel down in the dumps when the middle class makes any gains at all. I'm sure Mr Welch (also know as "Mr Offshore the jobs") can't be very happy today. Not to mention the Koch brothers or Karl Rove. They must be crying in their Tea.

Really? Jobless rate hits 4 yr. low? Lets pitch the tent: your Holy Ghost encounter is on the way!
