Akamai reaffirms its financial guidance

Akamai Technologies Inc. fell after the Cambridge company reaffirmed its first-quarter guidance. It expects earnings of 50 to 52 cents per diluted share and revenue between $352 million and $362 million. Akamai also said it will start classifying both the expense of services and support as well as the cost of network infrastructure and support as expenses of revenue, instead of classifying them under administrative and general costs. It hopes to decrease operating costs in this way.
