Shares of Bedford’s iRobot Corp. jumped after the company raised its first-quarter guidance, citing better results in both its home robot and defense and security business units. IRobot said it expects to earn 16 to 20 cents on revenue of $102 million to $104 million. It had previously expected net income to be flat to 7 cents a share on revenue between $98 million and $102 million. The company also named Alison Dean executive vice president and CFO, effective April 5.
