Samsung announced the fourth generation in its Galaxy lineup, increasing its competition with Apple.
Company official JK Shin called the phone as a "life companion" that will "improve the way most people live every day."
The Galaxy S4 features a five-inch 1080p screen and a 13-megapixel rear camera.
The new phone ships with the latest Android version, Jelly Bean, and will go on sale in the next quarter.
The S4 can be expected to cost at least $200 with a two-year contract, comparable to the iPhone 5.
