The newest space for startups to take flight in Kendall Square went under construction last week, joining a long list of incubators, accelerators, and similarly-named spaces that have made this Cambridge neighborhood a hub of innovation. Lab Central will provide fully equipped labs, offices, and administrative support to as many as 60 entrepreneurs and startups concentrating on biotech.

Scheduled opening is October.
