Mass. gas prices fall 3 cents a gallon in latest AAA weekly survey

The average price for gas in Massachusetts was $3.569 a gallon in the latest weekly AAA survey, down 3 cents from the previous week’s average, AAA Southern New England said Monday.

Over the past month, the Massachusetts average price has dropped 13 cents.

The national average price is currently $3.59 a gallon. A year ago at this time, the Massachusetts average was $3.87.

The range in Massachusetts prices in the latest AAA survey was 43 cents, from a low of $3.32 to a high of $3.75, AAA Southern New England said.

AAA’s weekly surveys focus on self-serve, regular unleaded gas.
