The S&P Dow Jones Indices said Cynosure Inc., a Westford company, will replace NCI Building Systems Inc. on the S&P SmallCap 600 index after the close of trading next Friday. NCI announced the conversion of some preferred stock, leaving its public float below the required 50 percent threshold. Cynosure develops, manufactures, and markets aesthetic treatment systems.
