Athenahealth Inc. was among 10 companies that secured tax credits from the state last week in exchange for promising to create new jobs and invest in local communities. The Economic Assistance Coordinating Council approved $9.5 million to help athenahealth add 1,900 new jobs and expand its operations in Watertown. The company has promised to nearly triple its workforce over the next 10 years. The electronic medical records company has 1,100 employees in Watertown.
