Ambient rises again after landing NYC deal

Ambient Corp. rose 20 percent last week, the Boston Business Journal reported, after the Newton company — it provides technology for so-called smart power grids — announced a deal with Consolidated Edison Company of New York Inc. Ambient will provide application development and communications equipment to replace discontinued technology for commercial and industrial metering. The contract “signals the acceptance of the Ambient solution for a roll-out to further locations across the New York City area,” the company said.
