How else would a car-rental service celebrate its move to a new headquarters? With a parade of cars, of course.

After a decade in Cambridge, Zipcar moved to its new offices in Boston's Innovation District Monday with a 10-car parade through the city, with employees handing out pens and other gifts along the way.

"Moving to the Innovation District is really consistent with our mission to enable simple and responsible urban living," said Mark Norman, president of Zipcar. "But it's also a new central home as we think about the next phase of growth for Zipcar."

The new space on Thomson Place houses more than 200 employees and was recently renovated to include sustainable features such as energy-efficient lighting and open-air office spaces.
