Shares of Bedford-based iRobot Corp. rose as the company introduced its $199 Braava Floor Mopping Robot in North America. The device was introduced in Europe earlier this year, iRobot said. The company, which also makes robots used by military services and law enforcement agencies, has been putting more emphasis on its home robots amid possible losses as cuts in US defense spending were expected to reduce demand for its military robots. Earlier this year, iRobot won FDA clearance for a new line of devices designed to let doctors interact with hospital patients remotely.
