Pandora revenue sizzles but shares fizzle

Pandora Media, the company behind the popular Internet radio service, said it lost $7.8 million, or about 4 cents a share, in the second quarter, amid continuing growth. Pandora earned $157.4 million in revenue for the quarter, up 55 percent over a year before. But Pandora’s shares slumped after the company told investors to expect third quarter revenue in the range of $174 million to $179 million, above estimates, with diluted earnings per share between 3 and 6 cents. Analysts expect adjusted earnings of 8 cents.
