“The combination of HMH’s trusted and proven educational content with Choice’s expertise in the areas of data science, reporting, and security will enable us to provide a truly comprehensive learning solution based on rigorous instruction and scientific analysis,” chief executive Linda Zecher of Houghton Mifflin Harcourt said in a statement. “By bridging the gaps between classroom instruction and data analysis at the state and district level, we can facilitate tailored interventions and ultimately deliver better outcomes for students.”

The acquisition will include all Choice Solutions employees, who will become an integrated part of Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, the HMH press release said.
