Arnold tapped to be ad agency for PUR water filters

Kaz, a Southborough-based subsidiary of Helen of Troy Ltd., said it has chosen Arnold Worldwide of Boston to be its ad agency of record for Kaz’s PUR brand of water filters.

PUR is focused on the home water filtration category for faucet water filters, water pitchers and dispensers, replacement filters, and refrigerator filters.

Arnold was chosen after an ad agency review managed by Roth Observatory, Kaz said in a press release, which did not include information on PUR’s marketing budget.

“We are thrilled to partner with PUR to propel leadership of their brand with great creative and integrated marketing in a highly competitive category,” Pam Hamlin, global president of Arnold Worldwide, said in a statement. “We have a deep bench of talent that truly understands how to turn a great creative idea into business results for our clients, and we’re ready to get started.”

Helen of Troy, a consumer products company specializing in such markets as housewares, health care and home environment, and personal care, acquired the PUR brand from Procter & Gamble Co. in 2011.

Helen of Troy brands include Vicks, Braun, Vidal Sassoon, and Dr. Scholl’s.
