Woburn’s Skyworks Solutions, which makes high-performance analog semiconductors, said it exceeded its guidance for both revenue and profit for the first quarter of fiscal 2014. Skyworks said revenue for the quarter was $505.2 million, up 11 percent from a year ago. Excluding items, adjusted earnings came in at 67 cents per share, compared with 55 cents in the prior year. “Skyworks is off to a great start in fiscal 2014 as we exceeded guidance and delivered strong performance,” said David J. Aldrich, CEO and president.
