Five Boston Globe videos, several of them about the Marathon bombings and the aftermath, have been nominated for regional Emmy Awards by the New England Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
The Globe’s Marathon coverage is up for an Emmy in the continuing coverage category.
Staff members who contributed to the video included Scott Lapierre, Steven Silva, David Abel, David Filipov, Darren Durlach, and John Tlumacki.
Another Emmy nomination went to the video component of “Driven to the Edge,” a Globe Spotlight Team investigation that found the Boston cab industry is a world of payoffs and driver exploitation. Lapierre, Bob Hohler, and Spotlight Team members Marcella Bombardieri, Tom Farragher, and Jonathan Saltzman participated.
Also up for an Emmy is “Girl In Limbo,” produced by Lapierre. The video told the story of parents fighting to regain custody of their teen daughter Justina Pelletier, who was living in a locked hospital ward.
Award winners will be announced June 7.
