Mass. gas prices drop a penny a gallon

The average price for gas in Massachusetts was $3.65 a gallon in the latest weekly AAA survey, down a penny from the previous week’s average, AAA Southern New England said Monday.

The Massachusetts average is 5 cents higher than it was a month ago, AAA Southern New England added.


The current Massachusetts average is the same as the current national average.

A year ago at this time, the Massachusetts average was 16 cents lower at $3.49 a gallon.

In the current Massachusetts survey, AAA found a 25-cent range in prices, from a low of $3.54 to a high of $3.79.

AAA’s weekly surveys focus on self-serve, regular unleaded gas.
