Bridging the gap

The Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce is bringing together

Economic policy

A decision on rates?


The Federal Open Market Committee,
the policy-making arm of the Federal Reserve, meets Wednesday and Thursday and is expected to consider whether the American economy is strong enough for the Fed to begin raising interest rates from their historic lows. An announcement is expected at the conclusion of the meeting, at 2 p.m. Thursday.
