Harvard Business School filed detailed plans last week with the Boston Redevelopment Authority for two new buildings on its campus in Allston.

The university wants to build a two-story, 81,100-square-foot building with meeting space and a 1,000-seat auditorium – big enough to fit an entire MBA class – and an 18,000- to 24,000-square foot building next door. The project would require demolition of 37-year-old Burden Hall and be built on the site of that building and part of a neighboring parking lot off Western Avenue.

The project was included in Harvard’s Institutional Master Plan from 2013. The BRA will hold a neighborhood meeting on it later this month and take public comment through Nov. 2.
