Boston breakers midfielder Rose Lavelle has become the first woman soccer player signed by New Balance to its roster of endorsed athletes. Lavelle, the 2017 National Women’s Soccer League number one draft pick, will be joining the ranks of top flight male soccer players Aaron Ramsey, Jesus Navas and Kasper Schmeichel as New Balance-endorsed athletes.

“I’m excited to be their first female soccer player and to help grow women’s soccer,” Lavelle said. “From the beginning, I knew New Balance would be a brand that would help me succeed.”

Also a member of the US Women’s National Team, Lavelle will wear the latest New Balance Furon2 footwear on the field and will be featured in New Balance advertising campaigns.
