US mortgage rates

New numbers for the 30-year fixed-mortgage will be released Thursday. Last week, Freddie Mac reported the average 30-year, fixed-rate mortgage rose to 3.96 percent from 3.88 percent the week before.

Understanding term sheets

The Capital Network hosts a discussion for entrepreneurs and investors to learn how to read angel and venture term sheets. Boston attorneys will be leading the interactive event, reenacting negotiations in a play format. Thursday, 11:45 a.m. to 2 p.m., Morgan Lewis, 1 Federal St., Boston.
