Cybersecurity startup Sqrrl Data Inc. has been acquired by tech giant Amazon, which will add the Cambridge company to Amazon Web Services, its suite of cloud computing services for businesses.

Sqrrl, founded by former employees of the National Security Agency, makes software that helps security analysts root out threats. The company announced the deal on its website.

“For now, it is business as usual at Sqrrl. We will continue to work with customers to provide advanced threat hunting capabilities. And, over time, we’ll work with AWS to do even more on your behalf,” Sqrrl chief executive Mark Terenzoni said in an announcement on the company’s website.

The companies did not release financial details of the transaction, but Amazon said it has offered jobs to all of Sqrrl’s employees.
