Shares of Woburn-based Skyworks slid after the chip maker’s outlook for its first quarter fell slightly short of Wall Street expectations. Skyworks predicted earnings, excluding one-time items, of 54 cents per share on revenue of $450 million, for the period ending in December. Analysts had expected 56 cents on revenue of $450.7 million.
