All Scholastic Sports Teams
The best of high school and private school athletes and coaches
are selected every year for 38 teams in three seasons of sports.
Globe All-scholastic have been selected since 1901, when The Globe's
first football team was chosen from area students.
Tournaments, Clinics, and Instructional Events
A variety of sports clinics
and instructional events
include those for soccer
and skiing. Plus, clinics
for baseball, basketball,
and hockey are offered
with the cooperation of
The Red Sox, Celtics, and
Bruins. The Globe also
sponsors The Bay State
Games, the John Smith
Six-on-Six Soccer Tournament
for youth and helps
the Massachusetts Bowling
Association. What's more,
The Globe also sponsors
the annual CYO Youth Golf
Tournament for youngsters
age 9-17, two tournaments
of Club Champions for adult
men and women throughout
Massachusetts, and the
Franklin Park Boston Open
for professionals and amateurs.
