What were they thinking? In the latest sign that the quest for hipster health knows no bounds, Liquor.com reports that mixologists are whipping up all manner of “stock-tails” this winter — combining the modern-day fetish for bone broth and other bouillons with the age-old thirst for liquor. One of the drinks on the menu at Dallas’s Midnight Rambler bar: the Pho-King Champ, made with wheat vodka, oloroso sherry, aromatized beef stock, and cilantro.
Did it work? Stock-tails seem to be selling well so far. But they may have jumped the shark already.
Fast food chain KFC just released recipes for three gravy-infused cocktails: the Gravy Mary, Southern Twist, and Fingerlickin’ Sour, with the tagline “Gravy so good you can drink it.”
