Many of Boston’s premiere female philanthropists were among the 400 or so people who turned out this week for Combined Jewish Philanthropies’ annual Pomegranate Society & Friends Event at the Back Bay Events Center. Actress Mayim Bialik, who’s best known for her roles on “The Big Bang Theory” and “Blossom,” was the featured speaker. Bialik, who has a Ph.D in neuroscience, has a new book, “Beyond the Sling: A Real-Life Guide to Raising Confident, Loving Children the Attachment Parenting Way.”
