Revere Hotel celebrates opening with rock climbers scaling the facade

The new Revere Hotel Boston Common put on a high-flying fashion show Wednesday evening to celebrate its official opening, with models descending the façade of the 24-story hotel decked out in designer outfits -- and body harnesses. The Revere, a $27 million reinvention of the Radisson formerly located on the Stuart Street site, sent climbers from Boston Rock Gym down the west side of the building wearing hotel uniforms designed by Massachusetts College of Art and Design students and spring and summer looks from Ted Baker London. The “vertical fashion show” continued on the ninth floor pool deck. Later this month, the Revere will open the Emerald Lounge in the former Theatre Café and a revamped theater in the old Stuart Street Playhouse.
